HOW TO RECYCLE WRAPPING PAPER AND GREETING CARDS
Transform used giftwrap into greeting cards
Use leftover or torn wrapping paper, remnants or ribbon and other odds and ends to create your own handmade cards.
Make gift tags
Transform old cards into gift tags. Use a leftover length of ribbon to attach it to the present.
Trim and save
Trim folded ends off used giftwrap and store rolled up for next year
Go crackers!
All you need is some giftwrap, leftover ribbon and cracker snaps. A novel way to wrap a special gift - perhaps a ring on Valentine's Day?
Create gift boxes
Cover empty boxes and other containers with giftwrap to create gift boxes. All you will need to do is tie with ribbon and add a bow
Decoupage
Cut out images from giftwrap and decoupage craft blanks including boxes and picture frames.
Make gift cards
Scraps of giftwrap and card from a packet of tights, a shirt or other item come in very useful when it comes to making gift cards.
Create personalised placemats and coasters
Seal giftwrap to firm cardboard and laminate. They could make a great gift for children. Don't place very hot plates on the laminated mats!
Transform your giftwrap and tissue paper into handmade paper
Thin sheets can be used as giftwrap while the thicker paper can be used to decorate cards, gift tags and the top of gift boxes
