Reviews: Styling for special events

Zara and Simon were getting married by the sea so a beach theme for her pre-wedding dinner with the girls was an obvious choice.  With love in the air, along with seashells and other accessories, the table was also decorated with unique handmade hearts.

Can’t thank Arona enough for the beautiful pre-wedding party beach table she created for me. Her attention to detail was incredible and so well thought through. The arrangement was exquisite, the tiny shells placed delicately around the glassware and the coordination of colour and texture was just perfect. Extremely fitting for my wedding by the sea.

Sadie was a very special lady who lived to the grand old age of 105 (minus two weeks!).  I styled a tea party to celebrate her 100th birthday with some special VIP surprises.  At that time I never imagined I would have a further three opportunities to help her celebrate her birthday in style.

You have to see Arona’s glorious and sparkling birthday tables to wonder at her skill in transforming the mundane to the marvellous. Rachel, London

Lesley wanted to create a seaside theme for her granddaughter’s batmitzvah celebration. She needed help turning a dull hall into a dazzling location. Sand, sails and handmade bunting did the trick!

Can’t thank you enough for your amazing help in making Sivana’s party an occasion we will always remember. The hall was transformed into a magical seaside event. Unbelievable!Lesley, Hove

And what did the bat mitzvah girl have to say?

Thank you so much for making my dream come true. It was the best bat mitzvah party ever! I really appreciate everything that you did.

For Nicola and Jonathan’s cricket-themed silver wedding celebration at the Sussex County Cricket Club the Wisden-inspired design was a bit hit. In fact many guests left with them at the end of the evening. The management of the club also asked to keep one which is on display in the boardroom!

Arona had the idea, developed the concept, supported the fashioning and provided the finishing touches. A much admired and talked about celebration table centrepiece. Even the cricket ground has kept one. Why would you want flowers!!Nicola and Jonathan, Hove

Cecile and Sydney were keen to have original table centrepieces at a party to celebrate their 80th and 90th birthdays respectively. As they have packed a lot into their 170 years I suggested a memory tree using photos taken over the decades.

We were arranging a family party for our joint birthdays – 90 and 80. Heading my “do not want” list was the popular circular flower-arrangement in the middle of each table. But what? Multi-talented Arona came to our rescue. For each table she made a decorative small “tree” with leaves of tiny photos of us depicting special occasions through our lives. What a wonderful idea!
