Bonjour Belgium!

Many thanks to all at M.J. Pack in Belgium for making me feel so welcome on my recent visit.

Set in a small village (only three shops!) in The Ardennes it is packed with a great selection of giftwrap, ribbons, hamper packaging and more!  Sharing my tips and techniques with their customers was a pleasure albeit a little daunting as I had to give my seminars in French!

They came from far and wide and were so enthusiastic about the ways I suggested they could wrap gifts that included everything from plants to chocolates, books to handbags and everything else in between!

They were amazed to see what a difference a bow made from a mixture of ribbons could make to the perceived value of a gift.  As is often the case they didn’t realise the potential of some products until they saw them in use…and then they sold out!   My display of hampers and gift baskets proved to be extremely popular as were the ways I wrapped plants and flowers.  Surprisingly, one of the ideas that attracted the most interest was a gift bag overwrapped with synthetic sinimay.  In orange and black and decorated with orange raffia as well as some scary spider ribbon it makes the perfect gift packaging for a present at Halloween!

Here are just a couple of the comments I received, along with many requests that I return with more suggestions next year!
